Reconnect with Your Practice Through Lughnasadh

"I want to have a spiritual practice, but I just don't have the time." Does that sound like you?

If so, I get it. Life is full. Between work, family, responsibilities, and everything else pulling at our attention, committing to a daily practice--or even a weekly one--can feel impossible.

This is one of the reasons I love working with the Wheel of the Year. The sabbats give us intentional moments throughout the year to pause, reconnect, and honor the season we're in. Instead of feeling like you have one more thing to add to your already busy schedule, they offer you a natural rhythm to return to your practice.

You don't have to meditate every morning. You don't have to create elaborate rituals every week. Sometimes your practice can be a handful of meaningful moments throughout the year where you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

Lughnasadh is one of those moments. The first harvest festival invites us to celebrate what we've cultivated, acknowledge our growth, and appreciate the abundance already present in our lives.

In Lughnasadh Rituals: Mini Class, we'll explore the history and symbolism of this sabbat, the difference between Lughnasadh and Lammas, and simple ways to bring this energy into your own practice through rituals, seasonal traditions, and intentional moments of connection. We'll also do a guided Lughnasadh ritual together during class so you can experience the energy of the season.

If you've been wanting to reconnect with your spiritual practice but haven't found a rhythm that feels realistic, this one hour mini class may be the invitation you've been looking for.

Join us live on Zoom, or catch the recording afterward. I hope you'll join us as we gather, reflect, and celebrate this turning of the Wheel together.

Fall magic

The Village Grimoire There's a point every year when I can really feel the Wheel beginning to turn. The days are getting shorter (😢), the trees are beginning to shed, and I always notice a subtle shift in the collective energy. And if we pay attention, we may notice that shift within ourselves too. Fall can bring with it a desire to retreat a little. To spend more time at home, become more selective about where we put our energy, tend to our altars, cook something comforting, or just rest...

Hearth magick

A few days from now, we’re gathering for Ask a Witch: Hearth Magick & House Spirits. If you’ve been curious about living a more magickal life but aren’t quite sure where to begin, this is a lovely place to start. You don’t need a dedicated altar, a cabinet full of herbs, or years of magickal practice. Your home and your everyday surroundings are already places where magick can happen. In this live, one hour Zoom session, we’ll explore hearth magick, house spirits, and the ways our homes can...

Eclipse season

Issue #89 The Village Grimoire A breakup. Firing my first employee. The expensive filming of an online course that completely tanked. These are all things that happened in my life during eclipses. I’m not an astrologer, but I know enough to understand that eclipses are often associated with endings, transitions, and, well--chaos. Because of that, I personally don’t do spells or manifestation work during eclipse season. Astronomically, eclipse season is a roughly 35-day window that occurs when...
