The Village Grimoire

Have you ever noticed the same animal showing up repeatedly? A symbol appearing in unexpected places? A dream image that lingers long after you wake up? You're not alone.

Humans have always used symbols to communicate with the unseen, the subconscious, and the sacred. Whether carved into stone, drawn on paper, or carried in the mind, symbols help us connect meaning with intention.

Here's a simple symbol awareness practice you can try:

Choose one symbol that resonates with you right now--a key, a spiral, a star, a tree, or any image that feels meaningful. Spend a few days noticing where and how it appears in your life. You might see it in nature, artwork, magazines, dreams, or random places you wouldn't expect. Keep notes in your phone or journal and record what you observe.

Rather than asking, "What does this symbol mean?" ask, "What does this symbol mean to me right now?" You may be surprised by the insights that emerge.
